Legendary will no longer be raiding 25-man content.
A guild is necessarily a function of the friends who comprise its membership. Most of those friends who created this guild have left the game. And I probably tried to keep it running for longer than I should have. Other friends have come and gone, but we've arrived at a point where the new faces outnumber the core of old friends. It no longer has the gelled feel of a team.
For a long time we tiptoed the thin line between casual and hardcore - a progression guild for people with a real life. We had skilled players committed to three nights of raiding; a tight roster with not too much depth, and alternates on every raid night.
But now the balance has shifted. The membership that comprised that committed core of the raid team has either left or burned out on trying to keep this team alive. If this raid team were a race horse, it would have three broken legs and any decent person would have put it out of its misery long ago.
It's been three years since we started Legendary, and we have had so many people coming and going. Many of the people who have left were a big part of the guild and the community died a little every time. Now the leadership of the guild has finally grown tired of it and lost most of our motivation, I assume that many of our members feel the same way. It has been like this for a long time and we have just kept going for the sake of it, for the community, and out of a shared commitment to the team. But no more.
To all of you who have raided with us over the years: It has been a pleasure being part of your team. It has been one of the most enjoyable and rewarding experiences for me, and I'm honored to be able to call you my friends. I also regret that I haven't had the opportunity to get to know some of the newer members better - you all seem like great players. I wish everyone the best of luck in your future endeavors, and may your loot be plentiful.
